Sakura in full bloom at the botanical garden in Shanghai

The annual sakura exhibition at Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden kicked off on Saturday and will run through April 9 with over 2,000 cherry blossoms and more than 80 species expected to be in full bloom until late April. Occupying an area of about 58,000 square meters, the sakura exhibition has introduced cherry blossom species originating from Japan, Germany, the US, France as well as from China’s Zhejiang, Shandong, Hunan, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces.
