Indonesia launches tourism campaign in Shanghai, anticipates surge in Chinese tourists post-COVID

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia held the Wonderful Indonesia Sales Mission in China on Tuesday in Shanghai, to promote the country's abundant tourism resources in the Chinese market. The event was attended by Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy Minister of Tourism Marketing Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to China. After the impact of the three-year COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia has adjusted its target for Chinese tourist arrivals this year, raising it from 255,200 to 361,500, in the hopes of attracting more visitors from China.
