International Museum Day is celebrated every year on May 18, and this year's theme is "Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing.". This theme emphasizes the positive role of museums in meeting people's diversified needs for a better life and realizing people's longing for a better life. On May 18, 2023, the National Museum of China launched a special activity in the Cultural and Creative Experience Zone, inviting the audience to seek an in-depth understanding of the cultural relics in the National Museum collection and of the charm of more than 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through hands-on activities.
