Editor's Note:
To help more children with congenital heart disease receive treatment and help support rural revitalization, from May 9 to 21, the Chinese Red Cross Foundation launched the "Angel Journey - Xinjiang Congenital Heart Disease Screening and Assistance Action." The medical teams traveled from Shanghai and East China's Jiangsu Province to places including the Tumxuk, Kashi, and Aksu prefectures in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to conduct screenings and consultations and provide free treatment for children with congenital heart disease who meet the assistance criteria. With the promotion and robust support of the local authorities, this public welfare action has received positive recognition and participation from local parents and children. The care provided by the doctors has earned the smiles of the people there. Photos: Li Hao/GT
