Kunqu Opera is presented at Prince Gong’s Mansion in Beijing on June 10, which also marks the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day of 2023 and the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Kunqu operas staged include two plays selected from the program list of one of the grandest Kunqu meetings at Prince Gong’s Mansion in 1887 and are performed by artists from the birthplace of Kunqu.
