Editor's Note:
Eight Ping-Pong players from the national team of Papua New Guinea (PNG) are receiving training at the China Table Tennis College of Shanghai University of Sport. The one-month training camp for PNG athletes is part of the project "China Table Tennis College Training Center in PNG," which was set up in 2018 with the support of the Chinese and PNG governments and the expectations of ping-pong enthusiasts from both countries. The project helped PNG players win two silver medals at the 2019 Pacific Games, the best-ever result in PNG history. China and PNG signed the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) MoU on June 22, 2018. PNG is the first country in the South Pacific to sign an MoU on the construction of the China-proposed BRI. Photos: Lu Ting/GT
