Editor's Note:
The café industry is booming in Anji, a county in East China's Zhejiang Province, known for its green economy development. With over 300 cafés, Anji has become one of the Chinese counties with the highest number of cafés. Taking advantage of its natural beauty, locals have started building cafés next to paddy fields, in forests, and on disused open pits in recent years. Many of these cafés, transformed from abandoned factories or constructed on waste grounds, have become popular idyllic destinations for both locals and tourists. According to the local government, one of the most famous cafés in the area attracted around 300,000 visitors within a year. (Photo: Chen Xia/GT)
