On July 31, heavy rain continued in Beijing. Due to the impact of the disaster, some communities in Mentougou experienced water shortages. The emergency vehicles of the water company arrived at the affected communities to provide temporary drinking water. In response to the potential hazards of mudslides in certain neighborhoods, Longmen New District Community in Chengzi Street, Mentougou, discovered potential mudslide risks in some buildings during an inspection on the afternoon of the 31st. Urgent evacuation of 180 residents to the temporary shelter at Longquan Elementary School was carried out. In order to ensure the residents' daily lives during the relocation, the community promptly prepared 300 sets of beds, bedding, and 600 servings of convenience food.
