Editor's Note:
The seventh day of the seventh lunar month is the traditional "Qixi Festival" in Chinese culture. According to folklore, it is also the birthday of Kuixing – the god of examinations. In the ancient Chinese imperial examination system, achieving the highest score was called "winning the title of Kui," so scholars also refer to the Qixi Festival as the "Kuixing Festival." This year's Qixi Festival falls on Tuesday, and the Beijing Lizhitang Imperial Examination Plaque Museum recreated the classical ceremony of paying respects to Kuixing on the day. A summer reading sharing session and an ancient poetry game have also been held, allowing the children present to have an unforgettable Qixi Festival.
