The World Design Cities Conference WDCC2023 is set to be held at Shanghai Huangpu Riverside from September 26 to October 2. With the theme of “Design Beyond Creativity,” the event aims to establish a global platform for design cooperation and exchange, exploring the path to high-quality development driven by design, and promoting the integration of design into all aspects of urban and daily life. A number of cutting-edge designs and new products are being shown at the venue. Shanghai joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2010 as a “City of Design.” In the new phase of development, Shanghai is promoting design to empower high-quality industrial development, high-quality life for citizens and high-efficiency city governance in an all-round way, building a world-class "City of Design."
