Exhibition of Sanxingdui relics, Rodin sculptures reveals mutual learning between civilizations

Exhibition Glory of Bronze Civilization: A Dialogue between Sanxingdui and Auguste Rodin across Space and Time has kicked off at the Shanghai University Museum. At the exhibition, visitors can look closely at 36 pieces of ancient Chinese cultural relics mainly from the 3,000-year-old Sanxingdui, as well as 21 pieces of modern art works by famous western artists, like the master sculptor Rodin. The exhibition is held to mark the ongoing fifth Shanghai Archaeology Forum, which is held at Shanghai University between October 15 and 18. It is also a tribute to the upcoming 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France the next year, according to the hosts.
