The Qianjuntai & Zhuanghu Village Fan Hui is a nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage event, which is held every year on the 15th and 16th day of the lunar calendar. With a history spanning centuries, it aims to pray for a prosperous year ahead and bless the villagers. In 2023, Mentougou District suffered severe flooding, which washed away many of the festival's hardware facilities. After reconstruction efforts by the village committee, this year's festival resumed as scheduled. On the afternoon of the Lantern Festival, flags flew high, festive music filled the air, and elderly artists joined villagers in celebrating the joyous occasion. (Photo: Li Hao/GT)
