The 9th Asian Winter Games kick off in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, on February 7, 2025. Under the theme “Shared Dreams of Ice and Snow, United Hearts in Asia,” this marks China’s latest major international winter sports event after the Beijing Winter Olympics. The Games will run for eight days, featuring six main categories, 11 subcategories, and 64 events. Ice sports will be held in Harbin, while snow sports take place in Yabuli. Over 1,200 athletes from 34 countries and regions across Asia have registered to compete, setting a new record for the number of participating nations, regions, and athletes in the history of the Games.
