A volunteer event was held on Nanjing Road pedestrian street in downtown Shanghai to honor Lei Feng, a late soldier renowned for his generosity and altruistic deeds, on Wednesday, March 5, which marks the “Lei Feng Day” in China. Groups of volunteers, including soldiers, police officers and lawyers, provided various services for residents for free, such as hairdressing, legal consultation and career planning.
