The winners of 2017 World Press Photo Contest were announced recently, picked from 80,408 photos from 5,034 photographers in 125 different countries. Photos were awarded in eight categories, including Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, General News, Long-Term Projects, Nature, People, Sports, and Spot News. Here are some of this year’s winners.
