May 31 marks the Dragon Boat Festival in 2025. The festival is a celebration featuring dragon boat races and the eating of zongzi — sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. The Beijing Folk Museum hosted a series of cultural activities at Dongyue Temple in Beijing. Centered on the theme of “ancient handicrafts and traditional etiquette,” the event featured multiple interactive experience zones, including zongzi making, mugwort for blessings, and five-color rope weaving. Through cultural explanations, hands-on activities, and traditional crafts, the event vividly showcased the culture of the Dragon Boat Festival.
