The "Remembering Heroes and Creating the Future Together: Flying Tigers Photo Exhibition" opened in Shanghai on Tuesday, commemorating the heroic contributions of the Flying Tigers to China's resistance against Japanese invasion during World War II, and celebrating the deep-rooted friendship forged between the Chinese and American peoples.
Divided into five thematic sections, the exhibition chronicles the Flying Tigers' remarkable achievements and highlights the invaluable history of China–US wartime cooperation. It also pays tribute to the enduring "Flying Tigers spirit," reflecting a legacy of courage, solidarity, and shared sacrifice between the two nations. The exhibition will run through September 14.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931–1945) and the World Anti-Fascist War. The Flying Tigers, a legendary squadron of American volunteer pilots, played a pivotal role in supporting China's efforts against Japanese forces—symbolizing a lasting partnership and mutual respect between China and the United States.
