The opening ceremony of the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games took place at the National Speed Skating Oval (Ice Ribbon) in Beijing on Thursday. Elite robotics teams from around the globe marched in like athlete delegations and delivered dazzling performances that showcased the agility of humanoid robots and the beauty of industrial design.

The games bring together a total of 280 teams from 16 countries, featuring over 500 humanoid robots. They will compete across 26 disciplines, including competitive, exhibition, scenario, and peripheral events, spanning 538 events. Photos: Li Hao/GT
