Museums in Beijing rolled out activities to mark traditional Qixi Festival, or Chinese Valentine's Day, which falls on Aug 29 this year. At the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture, an event paired recitations from classics on garden with a hands-on workshop in the intangible-heritage craft of lacquer pendant making.
