On September 2, about 230,000 national and red flags were raised throughout Beijing in preparation for the upcoming event marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The city's fountains were turned on, and approximately 2,950 night lighting facilities were activated, as is customary for major holidays. Nine types of decorations, including national and red flags, flower beds, and night lighting, showcased the beauty of the capital and created a grand and solemn atmosphere for the event.
