A traditional Xinjiang wedding is a feast for the senses. In the ancient city of Kashi, a creative young couple, groom Saparjan and bride Aynigar, blended the customs of both northern and southern Xinjiang while combining ancient and modern elements. They infused the solemn blessings of Uygur Muqam art into their celebration and added traditional acrobatics, magic performances, and the joyful dances of their guests.
