The “Shanghai Green Ode to Peace” event took place in Shanghai on Saturday, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, through tree plantings and songs. Nearly 300 people attended the event, including representatives of New Fourth Army veterans and their descendants, descendants of Red Army soldiers and revolutionary martyrs, as well as family members of founding leaders and generals.
