The 38th Ditan Park Temple Fair, celebrating the Spring Festival, kicked off in Beijing on February 17, the first day of the Chinese New Year. This highly representative folk cultural event, running from February 17 to 23, carries the traditional memories of many local residents during the Spring Festival. On the first day of the Chinese New Year, the fair featured a reenactment of a Qing Dynasty (1644–1911) ritual to worship the Earth, with performers dressed in ancient costumes simulating the sacrificial procedures of that era.
