A series of events for the 2026 International Day for Monuments and Sites were held at the Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site Museum on April 18. Activities also took place at the Zhoukoudian National Archaeological Site Park. The events included expert lectures on ancient humans, a creative painting exhibition on cultural relic protection, fossil restoration experiences, a “young archaeologist” excavation practice, relic puzzles, and creative DIY activities, which attracted the participation of many visitors. An exhibition on the Cultural Relics Protection Law was also held at the site park, providing comprehensive information on the newly revised law and the site protection plan. (Photos: Chen Tao/GT)
