The 2026 Shanghai Longhua Temple Fair, one of Shanghai’s oldest and most iconic traditional folk festivals, will run from April 30 to May 5. Drawing deeply on Song Dynasty (960–1279) aesthetics and “Jiangnan” cultural elements, this year’s fair revitalizes traditional customs through a fresh, youthful, and immersive approach. Centered around the theme of peach blossoms and the Twelve Flower Deities, and enhanced by the newly opened area, the fair creates picturesque Song-style scenes at every turn, allowing visitors to fully experience the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional Chinese temple fair.
