Despite of the impact of worldwide economic crisis on tourism industry, Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province shows a prosperity in tourism market and becomes more and more popular for both home and abroad tourists. According to the prefecture's tourism bureau, Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture has served 2.05 million person-times for the first half of the year, up by 29.9% to the same period in last year.
In recent years, Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture focus on building quality scenery areas and promotes heavily on "five major national parks" in the prefecture. Shangri-La Yunnan Snub-nosed Monkey National Park will open to public on October 1st. The second phase of Pudacuo National Park is under construction. The constructions of Big Valley National Park, Meili Mountain National Park and Hutiaoxia National Park are also in progress.
