SOHO China Foundation, an organization solely funded and operated by SOHO China, the country's leading office property developer, announced Wednesday an agreement with Yale University endowing $10 million to aid for Chinese students to obtain undergraduate education at the university.

The donation for Yale "is a long-term plan, and aims to provide the best possible educational opportunities to the most outstanding students from the Chinese mainland," SOHO China Chairman Pan Shiyi said at the signing ceremony in Beijing Wednesday.

 The foundation, which was established in 2005, announced a scholarship plan of $100 million in July to create financial aid for Chinese students studying at the world's top universities for their undergraduate education.

Shares of SOHO China grew by 2.93 percent in Hong Kong Wednesday.
