On July 22, MGM Grand Sanya resort joined hands with Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Ltd to hold the 2015 Meet Glorious Moment Million wedding show. Some 180 fashion-savvy married-couples-to-be from all parts of China, 40 journalists and experienced personnel in the wedding industry, and six guest couples rounded up from social media were at the wedding show.

The wedding-themed event included a wedding forum discussing market demands for island weddings; a proposal ceremony on the lawn of the hotel's restaurant, Neera, and a vibrant lovers' beachfront lawn wedding ceremony, as well as a Las-Vegas-style after-party at the Wet Republic pools. The whole event was a testament to the enduring fascination that people have for wedding culture.

During the forum, people in the wedding industry discussed solutions to cater to the growing market demands for island weddings, and shared their experiences on how to use the media to push brands.

The "eternal beachfront lawn wedding" ceremony was designed by Ai Wedding. As a taste of the ideal island wedding, six couples were placed in tailored wedding clothes courtesy of celebrated Japanese designer Yumi Katsura, and pledged their devotion while planting trees of love, representing the future growth of their partnerships.

As well as wedding events, the resort also provides new couples with a hilarious night party so they can shake off the newlywed jitters and enjoy the start of their lives together. The after-party began with MGM Grand's "dessert show," starring a fashionable bride on a Harley-Davidson motorbike who passed through the room, surprising the audience. Delicious cupcakes, a stunning chocolate fountain and mouth-watering desserts in diverse flavors completed the event.

Li Yuan, a lighting technology expert from the Your Light company, provided the dazzling lighting for the party as guests gathered together and the DJs rolled out sassy samba and untamed flamenco dance tunes.

On the catwalk, models showed off the latest collections of evening dresses and wedding dresses by Yumi Katsura, displaying the clothing artist's 50 years of design experience. Guests enjoyed the delicious wedding-themed BBQ dinner buffet, which included diverse food and beverage options, and beautiful desserts.
