High Quality Romance, China's first streaming Korean drama coproduced with a South Korean production company, won acclaim from audiences and critics alike during a special pre-screening event held at Chinese producer Sohu TV's headquarters in Beijing on Wednesday. One of the streaming site's ambitious projects after hit dramas and comedies such as Diors Man and Wu Xin: The Monster Killer, the drama is set to premiere online on November 14.

Starring a South Korean cast which includes the highly popular Jung Il-woo and Jin Se-yeon, High Quality Romance has been designed to fit the streaming format, with each episode only lasting 16 minutes.

Calling it the first South Korean drama tailored for Chinese audiences, Sohu TV said that before shooting started it spent a long time working with its South Korean partners, explaining how the streaming model works in China as well as modifying the show's scripts to better suite Chinese audiences.
