An incense ceremony class for Chinese journalists was held at the Japanese Embassy in Beijing on November 28. For the event, 25 journalists were invited to take a closer look at the incense culture. Beijing traditional opera critics association initiated this event, and incense experts from Japan were invited for the class. Participants were taught how to tell the difference between various incense scents. The Japanese Minister Yasushi Yamamoto welcomed the participants at the event. "This is a special opportunity to understand the Japanese traditional culture, which is the result of the cultural exchange between China and Japan," he said.
