A transit passenger traveling from Thailand to Tokyo was found carrying three slow loris and three dormice when he went through the security check at the Capital Airport, the Beijing Morning Post reported.

The passenger hid the animals in a small bag tied to his waist. He said he bought the animals in Thailand and wanted to carry them back to Japan as pets.

Since these animals were not quarantined, the security check staff detained them and sent them to the quarantine department. One of the slow loris was found positive for salmonella.
