Organized by the Yantai Art Museum, an exhibition of Jiaodong folk paper-cutting art opened at the Foyer Gallery at the University of Leeds' School of Design on Monday, catching the attention of many local residents, students and teachers.

This is the second time that the Yantai Art Museum has held an exhibition of paper-cutting in Britain. The more than 40 works on display include representative works of Jiaodong (a peninsula in Shandong Province) folk art as well as modern works featuring the landscapes and scenery of the coastal city of Yantai, Shandong Province.

The Foyer Gallery is the first stop on the exhibition's European tour. The next stop in Britain will be the Original Projects gallery in Great Yarmouth from April 1 to April 25. After that, the exhibition will head to Miskolc, Hungary and Angers, France.
