Chinese writers Gerelchimeg Blackcrane and Liu Xianping won two awards at the Bianki International Literature Awards in Moscow, a first for Chinese writers.

The 3rd Russian Bianki International Literature Awards received 980 literature works from 19 countries, including Russia, China, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, Canada, Australia, United Arab Emirates and Israel. Compared to the last literature awards, the number and quality of works improved.

Blackcrane's novel Hei Yan (Black Fire) won the Grand Prize and Liu Xianping won the Honorary Award with his novel Gudude Miluwang (Lonely Elk King).

In April 2018, Chinese publishing company Jieli Publishing House agreed to a cooperation program and held a literary event in China. The Chinese review committee also recommended Gerelchimeg and Liu's works.

Gerelchimeg was excited to receive the award. He said that Bianki's work had inspired him to be a novelist when he was a child and wanted to write like Bianki.

The Russian Bianki International Literature Awards were named for Russian famous natural literature writer Vitaly Valentinovich Bianki, who established the Moscow state library in 2015.

Fifty-six writers from different countries have been awarded.
