Cuban minister promotes international event for digital transformation

On the occasion of the visit of the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communications of Cuba Wilfredo González Vidal to China, the Cuban Embassy hosted a media briefing on Thursday,  introducing  the 18th International Convention and Fair 2020.

The convention and fair under the theme of digital transformation will take place in Havana from May 16 to 20, 2020, during which government officials, entrepreneurs, experts, and industrial representatives will be invited to share their thoughts, products, and services for the development of Cuba and beyond. 

In the welcome speech, the Cuban Ambassador to China Miguel Ángel Ramírez said, "For over 30 years, this event, held once in every two years, has become the most important one in science and trade in the Latin American and Caribbean region."

Vidal said in his remarks that this event offers great opportunities for business representatives to talk face-to-face with high government officials of Cuba," Vidal said. "Through this convention and fair, we expect to further strengthen the cooperation with Chinese enterprises and investors in Cuba. This cooperation may not be with companies from Cuba only but also with those from other countries around the world," he added.
