Upholding the philosophy of "bringing users innovative products and healthy lifestyle", Huawei devotes itself to tackling the challenge of short battery life facing almost all smart watches. Huawei keeps creating and improving its smart watch series via technological innovation based on users' demands, delivering them optimal product portfolios with even longer battery lives.

The creation of the HUAWEI WATCH GT series conveys the idea that scientific movement makes an active lifestyle and pays tribute to the spirit of adventure. It illustrates how technology makes life better.

The two-week long battery life of the HUAWEI WATCH GT series not only sets a record for smart watch battery life, but also improves user experience of an active lifestyle. From the industry's point of view, the emergence of HUAWEI WATCH GT series solves the issues of short battery life and the need to charge frequently. From a technical point of view, Huawei has developed new technologies to not only create smart watches with industry-leading, ultra-long battery life, but also smart engine energy-efficient algorithms that can be applied to other smart wear. Huawei aims to continuously improve and enrich people's lives through technology, as a healthy life based on scientific movement is the foundation for living a better life.

The innovative battery technologies of the HUAWEI WATCH GT series demonstrate Huawei's commitment to providing consumers with continuous proactive sports and health management through wearables. Constant monitoring and scientific exercises can help consumers better manage their health, and provide consumers with a more comprehensive, real-time and convenient active lifestyle experience.

Last September, Huawei released its second generation of the HUAWEI WATCH GT series at the new product launch event in Munich, Germany, the upgraded version of HUAWEI WATCH GT that features ultra-long battery life by virtue of its self-developed wearable chip Kirin A1.

Being Huawei's first low power consumption wearable chip, Kirin A1 adopts the high-integration heterogeneous chip design and delivers ultra-low power consumption computing and a long battery life thanks to the efficient coordination of exercise, music, smart heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring sensors, and other features

HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 can work for up to two weeks under typical usage where the user wears the watch all day round with the heart rate function activated, scientific sleeping function activated at night, exercise for 90 minutes a week (GPS enabled), message notification function activated, screen brightening for 200 times a day, 30 minutes bluetooth calling every week and 30 minutes music playing every week. Its 42mm series can also run for up to 1 week in typical use.

Its ultra-long battery life also attributes to the software upgrade that achieves the balance between power consumption and performance. Smart power-saving algorithm 2.0 mode allows HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 to identify users' application scenarios and achieve the best performance at the lowest power consumption by reasonable power allocation based on different scenarios.

Other shining functions of HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 are Bluetooth call and music playing that help users relax and enjoy themselves, and get rid of work and family stresses via outdoor exercise or fitness without their phone.

Since entering the smart wearable market, Huawei has continuously delivered innovative products for users. According to IDC's report of the top five global smart wearable makers in the first quarter of 2019, Huawei shipped 5 million wearable units in the first quarter, an increase of 282.2% compared with the same period in the previous year, ranking third in the world in terms of total shipments and ranking first in the world in terms of year-over year-growth rate. HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 shipped one-million units in just 45 days since it went on sale, beating by three months the same feat for the first-generation product.

Smart wearables are deemed as the most promising smart hardware products following smart phones. Unfortunately, unsatisfactory battery life cancels out their merits, putting most consumers off. Featuring two-week ultra-long battery life, HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 is absolutely the glorious exception that delivers you a better experience.
