A water park in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, a city known as a mecca for hot pot lovers, has recently offered a special treat for food pilgrims - enjoying hot pots while sitting in ice buckets in an outdoor swimming pool, as the sweltering summer heat continues.

The program has apparently become a hit, as expected. According to a video posted by China News, the swimming pool is packed with customers wearing swimming suits and plastic aprons while dining around steaming hot pots and enjoying beer. The buckets they are sitting in are filled with water, with ice cubes and dry ice that are constantly refilled by waiters.

This unique dining experience while beating the heat received plenty of responses from netizens.

"What a city!" a netizen commented on Sina Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media platform, "Chongqing citizens always know how to enjoy life."

Others, however, expressed health concerns over the ice-bucket hotpot.

"This is exactly why we are seeing more patients suffering from digestive problems," commented another.
