A Chinese blogger has gone viral with an unofficial comedic version of US singer Lady Gaga's new music video "911."

The blogger, who has 1.62 million followers on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo, edited together a one-minute-and-13-second-long video from some clips of Lady Gaga's "911" music video together with scenes from China's well-known TV drama Journey to the West, an adaptation of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) classic novel of the same name.

The video is set to the music of the drama's theme song, and Lady Gaga's performance in her video is edited in a way that it sometimes fits the lyrics.

Many Chinese netizens posted on social media that they found the video both interesting and amusing, while others noted they almost got the spoof and the original version mixed up.

"I really admire this blogger's editing skill. It looks so perfect. If I did not check the comments, I would have thought it was a new version of Journey to the West co-filmed by China and the US, and the protagonist is Lady Gaga," one Chinese netizen joked on Sina Weibo.

"I almost cried laughing. The blogger's editing speed is so quick. The official video has not been released in the Chinese mainland yet, but the spoof video is already ranking on the trending list on Sina Weibo," another Chinese netizen wrote.
