Tongban hamlet: from "empty village" to hot destination on internet

Tongban hamlet, located in deep mountainous area of Rong'an County of Guangxi, was once an "empty village" with only six elders living.In 2012, people who have worked outside for over 20 years returned to the hamlet and set up a cooperative to develop sightseeing tourism.Photo:Xinhua


 

Nine years later, the hamlet has become a hot destination on the internet and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. Those children who returned to the hamlet with their parents are also growing up happily here.Photo:Xinhua
