Huawei will enhance coordinated innovation of cloud, channel and device technologies, and over the next two to three years build a high-quality cloud ecosystem, said founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei in a written statement released on Huawei internal social network Xinsheng Community on Thursday.

Ren said that electronic devices, including billions of smartphones and smart watches, water meters, electricity meters and smart screen devices, have a large cover area at present, which drives Huawei to improve the quality of its cloud network.

"Providing a top network service to our clients can help us keep a leading edge in worldwide competition," said Ren.

Huawei GTS is Global Technical Service, a department in charge of development, maintenance, delivery and optimization of its global gear network and related software. By coordinating with the cloud, GTS is able to build mobile networks in different regions and increase the performance and user experience, and form a positive commercial cycle, said Ren.

Ren believes that the household mobile network will be an enormous market due to the increasing availability of equipment and requirements for quality services. Ren said Huawei may follow the examples of setting up exclusive shops for distributing terminal devices and providing maintenance services, which will also encourage local residents to join in and compete with other companies freely.

Ren also noted that Huawei will abstract the company's understanding of the performance and service of networks into assets to provide its clients. Huawei will also apply cloud strategy to other areas, such as mining.

"Just like Microsoft's management and maintenance service on extensive plane engines, Huawei will develop a top cloud service module in mining," said Ren.
