A video clip of a bald peacock opening its tail at a zoo has recently become an inspiration for visitors and netizens, with many saying they were touched by its spirit of perseverance.

The celebrity peacock lives in a zoo in Nanchang, East China's Jiangxi Province. Unlike other peacocks, he has almost no tail feathers but only a few near the body. But that did not stop him from proudly opening its tail without the slightest self-consciousness.

It wasn't only the tourists who were impressed - the general public also applauded him after the video became a hit.

"Looking at him, I feel so elated," netizens commented, noting that the peacock reminded them of themselves, as they "have to work every day even when feeling broken inside." The zookeeper said that the peacock was not sick. "His massive feather loss is due to season changes and physiological cycle."
