A scenic spot in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, has reported a gathering in which around 200 tourists went clubbing at the top of a mountain.

A video circulating online shows a private walking club made up of around 200 people, who brought their own mobile power generating equipment, went outdoor clubbing with loud music on and beam lights projected in the sky after arriving at the top of Wutong Mountain on Saturday.

The scenic spot was not supportive of the event. "We've reported it to the Donghu police in Shenzhen and the individuals in charge will be asked to take responsibility for this."

"Many tourists choose to climb Wutong Mountain at night," said one netizen who joined the party when passing by while climbing with friends, "It was mind-blowing and everyone was on the huge slope, so it wasn't that dangerous."

However, a staff member at the Wutong Mountain said that there were still risks that came with big gatherings like this, which can cause damage to the natural habitat.
