New Korean War movie Bloody Nameless River will hit Chinese streaming giant iQIYI on Friday, coinciding with the upcoming Qingming Festival.

The upcoming movie aims to commemorate the numerous Chinese soldiers who fought in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea through a detailed story that seeks to take audiences back to a battle that took place decades ago.

According to the film's scriptwriter Zhao Ningyu, also one of the movie's producers, it took a long time to tighten up the story and get ready to film it, which treats the details of the battle very seriously and stays true to history.

Song Jia, head of iQIYI's film department, noted it is a tradition in China to cherish the memory of revolutionary martyrs during the Qingming Festival and that the spirits of those brave soldiers will continue to inspire people.
