A man who was refused entry onto a bus for "carrying dangerous goods" gulped down the bottle of baijiu he was carrying, leaving the driver no choice but to let him on, according to a video which recently went viral.

The incident took place in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province. Some surveillance footage circulating online shows a man drunkenly attempting to board a bus on Sunday, carrying a large plastic bottle in his hand. The driver found the man suspicious and asked him what was in the bottle. The man replied that the bottle contained leftover baijiu from a banquet. The driver then informed him that the unsealed liquor was a dangerous product and could not be brought on board.

The man at first expressed disbelief and tried to argue with the driver. But after the driver insisted, the man unscrewed the cap and drank the entire bottle, leaving the driver no choice but to allow him on board.

On China's Twitter-like platform Sina Weibo, some netizens found the footage interesting and praised the man for being "very decisive." Others expressed concern. "The passenger was obviously drunk. Wouldn't it be a threat to public safety to let him board the bus?" commented another.
