Muslims in Asian countries are celebrating the start of Ramadan, a festival that includes a month of fasting and prayer.

ISLAMABAD -- The Ramadan crescent moon was sighted in Pakistan on Tuesday evening and the holy month will officially begin on Wednesday, according to an official announcement from the country's moon-sighting committee.
