China's National Centre for the Performing Arts announced a series of performances to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.

The center has arranged nine new cultural productions, including classic folk operas, epic operas and stage plays that will depict the glorious history and the spirit of the CPC since its founding in 1921.

In May to July, 50 anniversary performances will also be held at the art center.
