A dance drama from the China National Opera & Dance Theater, one of the country's top troupes, will be released online using the latest technology from Chinese tech giant Huawei, according to a new agreement the two signed on Saturday.

Spring on Dance, which made its theater debut in April, will be the first performance to go online in new digital formats such as 4K high-definition video and virtual reality experiences.

According to Tao Cheng, the theater's director, the unlimited possibility presented by online performances is sure to help more and more Chinese troupes to explore new opportunities to reach a broader audience.

Additionally, the theater has also introduced a one-year-long online service, which will enable members to appreciate the troupe's theatrical works, both new and old.
