Hong Kong Airport Authority launches flight ticket raffle to motivate vaccination

Hong Kong Airport Authority announced on Wednesday that the authority will give away 60,000 flight tickets by raffle to local Hong Kong residents and airport employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, to boost the recovery of aviation industry. 

The announcement said 50,000 of the prize tickets will be given to the Hong Kong residents who had been vaccinated by the end of September 2021, and the rest 10,000 tickets are for the vaccinated airport employees. 

In addition, extra 1,000 tickets will be given away to Hong Kong Airport Authority employees, said the announcement. 

"Large scale of vaccination is a vital phase for the recovery of aviation industry," said So Chak-kwong, chairman of the board of Hong Kong Airport Authority, said in the announcement. He also appealed to other companies and institutions in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to take effective measures to motivate mass vaccination.

The raffle sign-up will close by the end of coming September and detailed information will be released later, and employees of the Hong Kong Airport Authority will be issued three days off for inoculation, said the announcement.
