A TV series about China's PLA Rocket Force titled The Glory of Youth that just ended in the Chinese mainland is set to air on Channel 31 of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) at prime time from July 19.

The 49-episode TV drama about four university students joining the PLA Rocket Force and becoming soldiers is the first drama selected to air in a special section set up by the Hong Kong TV station for TV series made in the mainland, Jetsen Huashi Wangju reported.

The dramas selected for the section will be broadcast at 8:30 pm every night on RTHK and will be dubbed into Cantonese.

The special section for mainland TV shows aims to provide programs that enable Hong Kong residents to better understand the motherland and to strengthen their sense of national identity, according to a report by guancha.cn.

The Glory of Youth finished on TV and video platforms in the mainland in May and was applauded by netizens on Sina Weibo.

Wang Yongxiao, head of the PLA Rocket Force's PR department, told the media in April, when the TV series debuted, that the TV drama is sure to help the public learn more about China's PLA Rocket Force, which is something many of its members look forward to seeing.
