As the bumper harvest season came, local villagers put the mat grass in the shape of a fan to dry, forming a unique harvest scene. More than 2,000 mu (about 133 hectares) of mat grass was planted in Shuanggang Village. The dried mat grass will be made into daily necessities such as straw hats, cattail leaf fan, and straw baskets to help farmers increase their income.
