A nine-year-old girl in Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu Province has recently won wide applauds from Chinese netizens after she dealt with fire that erupted in the middle of the night professionally. 

Li Haoran, the girl, woke up her father at around 3 am when she smelt a burnt odor. But the father, Li Fuming, found the source of the fire was downstairs after an unsuccessful hunt in his own house.   

"When I went outside, my daughter game me a wet handkerchief to cover my nose and mouth," the father said.

When he woke up the residents of the whole building, the girl distributed wet towels and guided them to cover their mouths and noses and escape the fire.

"I was a little scared, but I stayed calm because I didn't want to forget the fire control measures taught by the teacher. We are more likely to get injured if we are scared," the girl said.
